Tip No. 1: Avoid prolonged
exposure to the sun.
The heat of the sun contains UV
and is known to be a source of free radicals. These free radicals are
responsible for the damage of our skin cells so as the collagen in our skin.
Damaging the collagen would result to thinning of our skin making it less
capable of retaining moisture, making our skin drier and later on wrinkles are
developed. You may use a sunblock as a protection.
Tip No. 2: Quit Smoking.
Smoking can cause premature aging
leading to wrinkling of the skin not only on your face but also on the other
parts of your body. Cigarettes contain nicotine, a substance that can cause
narrowing of blood vessels resulting to limited blood flow. We all know that it
is our blood that carries the nutrients and oxygen all throughout our body in
order for the cells to function well. Also, other ingredients from cigarettes
could damage our skin fibers (collagen and elastin) that maintain the
elasticity of our skin.
Tip No. 3: Keep your skin moist.
Keeping our skin properly hydrated
would help us a lot in getting rid of
wrinkles. In order to do this, let’s use moisturizers and lotions daily. We
can also look for the anti-wrinkling cream that is good for us. Using of mild
soaps can also help us keep our skin from drying. Dry skins are more prone to
wrinkles.
Tip No. 4: Eat foods that are rich
in antioxidants.
Eating antioxidant-rich foods
like citrus, grapes, acai and tea or by taking Vitamin C supplements could help
our skin cells repair faster. Antioxidants act against free radicals, thus,
collagen are prevented from damages.
Tip No. 5: Choose the best anti-wrinkle
treatment
There are many anti-wrinkle
treatments that are being offered these days. Choose the best type of treatment
for you. You may consult your dermatologist for this one.
Getting
rid of wrinkles is not an
easy task since it is part of natural process of aging. However, we can do
something to prevent it and even to slow down aging process.
