Signs of Aging Skin

An aging skin has a lot of possible signs – wrinkles, age spots, spidery veins and skin dryness. A person will have them shown on their face but which will come out first differs from person to person. How to prevent aging skin would also therefore depend on one’s skin, lifestyle and genetic framework

Your skin is the outermost layer that protects our body. Keeping it healthy will not only give us the confidence on presenting ourselves to the world but will also, more importantly, be a basis of how we take good care of ourselves even as we grow older. Our food and environment are the two mostly considered factors to a good and healthy skin.
Food is the primary source of nutrients of our skin and is therefore greatly considered on how to prevent aging skin. Intake of foods that are higher in Vitamin C and antioxidants such as fish, fruits and vegetables help protect skin. Also, a low intake of fats and carbohydrates are associated lesser wrinkles and a more supple skin.

How frequent we are exposed to sun (UV) is also a big factor to consider. Too much exposure to sun cause great damage to the skin which in turn results to appearance of age spots, leathery skin and spidery veins. This could not be prevented 100% that is why it is highly recommended to use sunblocks.

Knowing our lifestyle could help us decide on how to prevent aging skin. Try to assess what you usually eat and do (work or leisure), then start to prevent aging skin from that point.
